BART Train Kills Person At Station
The MacArthur Station has reopened and service has returned to normal.
OAKLAND, CA — A person was hit and killed by a train at the MacArthur BART station in Oakland just after 3 p.m. Thursday. The death forced the closure of the station for more than 3 hours, and caused major delays during the afternoon and evening commutes.
AC Transit provided transportation from nearby stations to MacArthur for passengers needing to end their trips there.
The identity of the person killed has not been released.
