David Lingenfelter has a PhD in Chemistry from UCLA. His thesis work at UCLA focused on the characterization of inter-molecular adhesion forces. This work helped his thesis advisor Donald J. Cram win the Noble Prize in Chemistry in 1987.David had a 30 year career in industrial chemistry and co-authored 3 patents and conducted inventive research and development in the chemical industry. He's an avid scholar in the areas of science and philosophy.He will present a slide show and talk about our cosmic universe, "Cosmic Considerations: Matter and Energy, Darkness and Light".Please join us in the Fireside Room at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Berkeley, located at 1 Lawson Road (above the Arlington at Moeser Lane). 10:00 am, November 29.
