Dr. Robert Lustig speaks at Prospect Sierra School

Prospect Sierra’s Authors & Lectures Committee presents Robert Lustig, M.D., M.S.L. pediatric endocrinologist at UC San Francisco, who will talk about the dangers of our processed food supply as highlighted in his book Fat Chance: Beating the Odds Against Sugar, Processed Food, Obesity, and Disease. Dr. Lustig has spent the past twenty years treating childhood obesity and studying the effects of sugar on the central nervous system and metabolism. He is the Director of the UCSF Weight Assessment for Teen and Child Health and also a member of the Obesity Task Force of the Endocrine Society. He is also President of the Institute for Responsible Nutrition, a non-profit dedicated to eradicating childhood obesity and type 2 diabetes by reforming the world’s food supply.
