
El Cerrito High School's Derik Calhoun has orally committed to attend the University of Southern California, according to the Contra Costa Times.
Calhoun, a 6-foot, 215-pound outside linebacker, announced his decision last week from a camp in Beaverton, Ore.
According to ESPNU, Calhoun's finalists were Arizona State, Cal, Miami and UCLA and USC.

"Getting a degree from USC, that's just the main part," Calhoun said on ESPNU. "It's family."
