EL CERRITO BATTERIES PLUS BULBS CELEBRATES GRAND OPENING WITH FORMER OAKLAND RAIDER RAYMOND CHESTER AND CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OFFICIALS THIS SATURDAY

This Saturday, June 20, new franchise owner Gordon Messer, is holding a ribbon cutting ceremony for his new Batteries Plus Bulbs franchise location with the local Chamber of Commerce and former Raider tight end and Super Bowl champ, Raymond Chester. Community members will have the chance to convene with chamber officials, meet the former Super Bowl champ and spend the afternoon enjoying food, product giveaways, exclusive promotions and a raffle.

After over 30 years in the food industry, Messer, a UC Santa Barbara graduate with a mechanical engineering degree held several managerial and senior-level positions at Quaker Oats and Fleischmann’s Yeast. After starting his own company, Yeast Systems LLC, Messer decided to use his retirement savings to open the El Cerrito Batteries Plus Bulbs store, helping to meet the demands of the community by providing El Cerrito locals with access to a comprehensive selection of over 50,000 battery and light bulb products and expert knowledge and advice on the subjects.
