El Cerrito Police Looking for Three Men in Late Afternoon Shooting
Anyone with information about the incident is being asked to call El Cerrito police at the non-emergency dispatch line at (510) 237-3233.

Police are looking for three to four men who discharged one or more firearms late this afternoon in El Cerrito, El Cerrito police said today. Officers responded at 4:54 p.m. to the area near Santa Clara Avenue and Lassen Street to reports of shots fired. Several residents called to report they heard gunfire.
Police asked people to avoid the area. Officers arrived and found one man uninjured who said men shot at him from a vehicle. Police are describing the vehicle as a dark gray Toyota Camry sedan with a spoiler and tinted windows. Police did not say what motivated the shooting.
