ArtFirst!, a group of 9 local artists who create in a variety of media, will have its first group show at the Kensington office of Marvin Gardens, the well-known real estate company serving Kensington, Berkeley and El Cerrito.
The show will start on Friday, October 5, 2012 and will run through January 2013. A reception with light food and drinks will be held on Friday October 5th from 5-7 pm at Marvin Gardens’ office at 289 The Arlington, Kensington, CA, 94707.
The artisans are eager to share their work with the community. Artist/designers’ works on display at Marvin Gardens will include Grace Taormina's paper, fabric and found treasures artwork; Pat Gibbons’ floral and glass creations; richly colored abstract floral photography by kayla garelick; photographic and mixed media work by Heidi Rand; award-winning artisanal organic perfume by Laurie Stern; jewelry designed by Joyce Yamada; and vintage-inspired bead work by Julie Long Gallegos.

ArtFirst! Bay Area was formed early in 2012, and is honored that Marvin Gardens Real Estate, with its long tradition of supporting local artists, has invited the group to exhibit in its Kensington Office. All are invited to the reception, and to view the artwork during Marvin Gardens' normal business hours: Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm.
