Over the past four years Barbara has shifted her focus from painting and graphics to quilting. She notes that this transition is infinitely refreshing and challenging. Quilt-making has renewed her interest in abstraction. Her excitement with textiles is reminiscent of her first creative endeavors that began in the 1960s. She notes, " it allows me to play with color and form at a slower, more deliberate pace, and to relish embellishment and texture." Included in this exhibit are a richly colored selection of hand designed needlepointed pillows. Exhibit runs from Nov. 1 -31.
