East Bay Media Makers Screening Club and Media Art Works Present: Eve Edelson's The Fare

East Bay Media Makers Screening Club (EBMMSC), a program through Media Art Works (MAW), is pleased to announce Eve Edelson as the featured filmmaker at our next screening club event.  Her short dramatic film, The Fare, will be screened on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the Arlington Cafe (510-525-3900), located at 269 Arlington Avenue in Kensington, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.  Please join us for this unique opportunity to view the work of an active local filmmaker.

Eve Edelson is a local filmmaker whose previous short films have screened at several film festivals across the country.  The Fare, her latest work, chronicles the unlikely friendship between a struggling taxi driver and his drunken passenger as they pursue a pair of muggers on Thanksgiving Day.  The audience is invited to participate in a discussion with Eve following the film.

EBMMSC is a program of Media Art Works (MAW), a nonprofit organization providing support for East Bay filmmakers as they develop their art through exhibition and networking opportunities.  For more information about this event and other MAW developments, follow our updates on Facebook @Media Art Works (MAW) and Twitter @MediaArtWorks.  Submission inquiries and questions may be directed to Bianca Beyrouti, Program Administrator, at ebmmsc11@yahoo.com.
