ECYB CLOSE TO COMPLETING BATTING CAGES AT CERRITO VISTA Community support needed for final stage of construction.

El Cerrito Youth Baseball has made significant progress on the new batting cages at Cerrito Vista which will be used by ECYB and ECHS Gauchos.  Volunteer and fund-raising efforts have already resulted in the concrete footing, poles from the old high school’s batting cages have been re-used and installed, and the pad has been filled with decomposed granite and surface prepped by ECYB volunteers who then helped install the turf floor. Additional fencing material and hardware is needed.

ECYB is reaching out to community members and businesses who can donate the use of a man-lift for two weekends in July, as well as volunteers experienced in installing chain link fencing.  Don’t have a man-lift, but have a couple of 12 foot ladders?

Have you got the skills, the tools or the time to help out?  Care to make a donation to help the league pay for the resources it needs to complete the job this summer?  All donations are tax deductible!  Please contact Andy Lojo, ECYB president at andylojo@earthlink.net
