Haunted House/Indoor Carnival & Dog Costume Contest

Come to the Haunted Carnival at the and get spooked by goblins, witches and vampires! This year the Carnival will consist of a Haunted House, bounce houses, (weather permitting) and an indoor carnival.

Please be aware that the Haunted House can frighten young children. We encourage very young children to visit our lights on Haunted experience.

  • Dog Parade and Costume Contest

    Come out and join us for the Second Annual Halloween Dog Parade and Costume Contest for our four legged friends at Cerrito Vista Park. The contest will take place at Cerrito Vista Park at 3:45pm on Friday, October 29th. 

    Dog registration begins at 3:00pm.  Advance Registration: El Cerrito Community Center 7007 Moeser Lane.   Registration Fee: $4.00 (in advance or on the day)

    Costumes are encouraged for both humans and dogs. The best costumes win a prize!

    Doggone Rules and Regulations:

  • To participate, your dog must have a current rabies tag and be on leash at all times. If the dog escort is under the age of 18 an adult escort must accompany.
  • No puppies under 12 weeks of age.
  • No dogs in heat.
  • No aggressive dogs. If contest participants display a negative behavior they will be asked to leave the park and the event.
  • Please bring a poop bag and scoop your poop. (Extra bags will be available at registration table.)
  • Dogs will be grouped according to size for the parade around the park. Your dog must walk in its assigned place.
  • Parade pass must be displayed on either dog or human.
  • Please do not use flex leashes during the parade.
  • Please respect each dogs “space” (keep your dog a leash distance from other dogs).
  • Judging Criteria
    Creativity, attention to detail, representation of character, cuteness / like-ability. There is a special category for best duo.
