Tehiyah Day School Annual Preschool Open House and Havdallah

Welcome!

This free Open House event includes a whole variety of fun, child-friendly activities, and is open to prospective children and parents of all religious and ethnic backgrounds that would like to get a sense of Tehiyah Day School, and also experience a delightful Havdallah ceremony marking the end of Shabbat and the beginning of a new week.

Tehiyah teacher-led activities will include cookie-making, arts and crafts, science projects, storytelling, music, and fun and games. And, all children delight in the positive message and sensorial treat of the Havdallah as they watch the candle, hear the blessings, smell the spices, and see the "wine" overflow from the cup! A simple and beautiful way to wish for gladness and joy during the week.

In addition, families will be able to visit Kindergarten to 2nd grade classrooms, meet the teachers and the Head of School, and to learn more about Tehiyah's effective, values-based, bilingual, and accredited education program from Bridge-K to 8th grade.

The event is located at 2603 Tassajara Avenue in El Cerrito on Tehiyah's excellent and safe and secure 5 acre campus. There is plenty of free parking and the school is easily accesible by public transportation.
