Free Ping Pong for All Through July on San Pablo Avenue

A new table tennis club on San Pablo Avenue in Albany near the El Cerrito border welcomes the community to play free through July.

A  on San Pablo Avenue near Brighton Avenue is offering adults and youth the chance to play for free through the end of the month. 

The new studio, ITT, at 533 San Pablo in Albany is open to the public through July when regularly scheduled classes are not in session.

Benny Fong said Monday that he so his sons, who attend Cornell Elementary and Albany Middle School, could have more access to practice.

Fong said the business has been open for a little over a week. 

Fong mentioned that Ariel Hsing, a student of coach and business owner Shen Hailong, will compete in the 2012 London Olymics.

ITT is open from roughly 4:30-8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. More information is available at itabletennis.org.
