The West Contra Costa Unified School District will hold a groundbreaking ceremony early next month for the new Portola Middle School.
The ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, at the new school site, 7145 Donal Ave.
The old Portola Middle School was torn down last year. The 62-year-old former school was located on Navellier Street.
