i moved here for the NIBS

AAHH!  What is going on?  let me just say that 25 percent of the deciding factor of me moving here was that i would be living across the street from a rad diner/breakfast place.
Why has Nibs not reopened yet?  Many loyal regulars are asking this question. Breakfast joints are in a different category when you think about why restaurants are popular and have a following.  Breakfast is so delicious! It's almost pure to walk in, flip that heavy ceramic mug for coffee, get some food, and a handle on the day.
Breakfast diners have that sleepy vital energy.  Like a blue collar sunrise.
Ok, i know El Cerrito recently addressed it, well, i am bringing it up again in my lil blog.  Is there anything we can do to help them get back on their feet?  a kickstarter campaign fundraiser?
shoots, i had a total fire destruction at the same time that they did, so i know how fire grows all sorts of f**ing stalls and inconveniences, unasked for relationships with lawyers and insurance companies, that set living life and business back.
BUT!  We also get this unique opportunity to evaluate our life, possessions, direction, and start COMPLETELY over.
Is that what the owners of the Nibs are doing?  Is NIbs undergoing a corporate buy out?  are they tangled and exhausted in the web of aftermath?  Are they in talks with a celebrity chef/restauranteur to become the next great bbq joint or hipster bar?
I can see them being a great bbq, meat centric place.
Serving alcohol will definitely up profit, also change motivations and direction and vision of the owners.
well, these are my thoughts.
thanks for reading!
