Hunt told Patch by email that the late-night work is being done to allow Capitol Corridor service "to continue as usual. The section of track we are working on runs parallel to I-580 and is west of Monterey Street," south of the Carlson Boulevard junction.
Hunt said Union Pacific has worked with the city of Richmond "to create a work structure that is as efficient as possible with limited construction space and variable windows of time due to local bus and train traffic."
