The Little Red Schoolhouse Celebrates 35 years!

An article about a local pre-school (El Cerrito, CA area) celebrating its anniversary.

The Little Red Schoolhouse held its annual “Picnic In The Park” on Saturday, August 16th at the Arlington Park in El Cerrito. It was a beautiful day for the children and their families to enjoy a chance for play, exploration, conversation, and for a wonderful picnic lunch, with homemade foods contributed by the families.

Each year, The Little Red Schoolhouse holds this event to be able to say good-bye to the children who are kindergarten bound, as well as to welcome the new children who will just be beginning their pre-school experience. And happily, there is always a return of “graduates” of The Little Red Schoolhouse who join in the fun. It is heartwarming to see all the friendships blooming.

Of special interest was the entertainer, Jungle Joe, who engaged everyone with his humorous puppets and ventriloquist skills.

Highlighting this happy occasion was the celebration of the 35th anniversary of The Little Red Schoolhouse. A decorated cake was part of the tribute, but the real treat was seeing the joyous community, and with it memories to last a lifetime.
