Motorcyclist Dies After Colliding with Dump Truck

A 28-year-old motorcyclist died after colliding with a commercial dump truck this morning in Richmond, according to police. Richmond police officers initially responded at 8:12 a.m. to a reported collision at South 13th Street and Cutting Boulevard.
They later discovered that Aaron Randle, of Richmond, had been ejected from his motorcycle when he was traveling on eastbound Cutting Boulevard and collided with a dump truck. Medical personnel were attempting life-saving measures on Randle as officers arrived at the scene, but he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
The dump truck’s driver was making a left turn from South 13th Street onto westbound Cutting Boulevard at the time of the collision, police said. That driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with traffic investigators, police said.
