Photos Of Attempted Sexual Assault Suspect: El Cerrito Police

EL CERRITO, CA — The El Cerrito Police Department released two photos Wednesday of a suspect in an attempted sexual assault. The attack happened Tuesday morning in the area of Stockton Avenue and Balra Drive.

According to police, the man "grabbed her and attempted to sexually assault her. The victim screamed, which not only scared off the suspect but also caught the attention of several neighbors." Those neighbors called police, who were notified of the assault at 6:42 a.m. Police say, "Several neighbors reported seeing the suspect fleeing the area on foot prior to police arrival."
