At this Wednesday's board meeting, the board shall adopt revisions to the district's policies relevant to bullying, hate-motivated behavior, and sexual harassment as seen in the last few pages of this meeting packet.

The WCCUSD needs to give bullying the attention it deserves instead of simply lumping it in with a "school climate" document. For example, Mt. Diablo Unified School District has an entire manual devoted to this problem found here

Currently, some WCCUSD schools do not have anti-bulllying plans of any kind in place, that Portola Middle School is not the district standard. I requested such plans from Hercules schools and nothing. Hopefully, this will change very soon.
