Public Invited to Seminar Sat. Mar 18 by Ameena Jandali on “Muslim Women Beyond the Stereotypes.”

Ameena Jandali, founder of Islam Networks Group, will discuss "Muslim Women Beyond the Stereotypes" on Mar18 at the Christ Lutheran Church.

Don't miss Ameena Jandali's talk on “Muslim Women Beyond the Stereotypes.” She will talk at the American Association of University Women, West Contra Costa Branch (AAUW-WCC) meeting on Saturday, March 18th at 10 am at the Christ Lutheran Church, 780 Ashbury Avenue, (south of Stockton Avenue), El Cerrito. All are welcome. Her talk will broaden our collective understanding of other cultures present in the USA. Refreshments will be served.

Ameena Jandali is an instructor at San Francisco City College (CCSF) and a founding member and content director of the Islamic Networks Group (ING). She co-designs and develops ING’s educational presentations and cultural competency seminars. She has delivered hundreds of presentations in schools, colleges, universities, churches, and other venues on Islam and related subjects. She has also appeared on many news outlets speaking on issues relating to American Muslims. She currently team-teaches a class on Islam at CCSF. She received her M.A. in Near Eastern Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and B.A. in History from the University of Illinois.
