Police have identified a Richmond man killed in an early morning shooting near the Oakland Zoo on Thursday. Charles McElroy, 22, suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the 9800 block of Burr Street in an incident reported at 4:09 a.m. Thursday. McElroy was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 6:06 a.m. Information about any possible suspect or suspects was not immediately available.
