Richmond Resident Fatally Shot in Oakland Late Wednesday
The victim's name is not yet being released by police pending notification of next of kin.

A Richmond resident was fatally shot in Oakland late Wednesday night, police said. Officers responded at 11:24 p.m. to a report of gunfire in the 800 block of 56th Street. They arrived to find the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was taken to a hospital and was later pronounced dead, according to police. The victim’s name is not yet being released by police pending notification of next of kin. No arrests have been made in the case and no suspect information was immediately available.
