Man Attempts To Hold Up Bank Inside Hercules Lucky

Earlier today, a suspect robbed the bank inside Safeway in El Cerrito, making off with hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Police are seeking a man involved in an attempted bank robbery that occurred shortly before noon in Hercules, during which the suspect handed a demand note to a teller before unexpectedly snatching it back and leaving. Police said the man attempted to rob the U.S. Bank branch inside a Lucky Store at 1590 Sycamore Ave. after he entered the store at 11:58 a.m.

Police described the suspect as a white or Hispanic man who is around 30 to 40 years old. He is said to weigh between 160 and 180 pounds and stand about 5 feet 7 inches call. Police also said he had dark brown hair and a thick mustache.
