San Pablo Man One of Two Caught by Police Burglarizing Home in Pinole
The incident happened in the the 2600 block of Alice Way on Monday.

Two teens were arrested after officers caught them allegedly burglarizing a home in Pinole on Monday afternoon, police said today. Police said officers responded around 12:40 p.m. Monday to a call from an alert neighbor who saw a suspicious car drive in the 2600 block of Alice Way, then saw two suspects pull into a home’s driveway and enter the garage.
Officers arrived on scene as the burglary was in progress and saw that two suspects had gotten inside the house by breaking a rear window, then opening the home’s garage door and parking their car inside, police said. When the suspects saw that police were on the scene, they fled through the backyard, hopping fences and heading into Hercules. With the help of Pinole and Hercules police officers searched the area and found the two suspects in the Forest Run neighborhood.
After a brief chase, officers were able to capture both suspects along the railroad tracks between Hercules Avenue and Sycamore Drive, according to police. One of the suspects was identified as 18-year-old Manuel Valencia of San Pablo, police said. Police are not releasing the name of the second suspect since he is 17 years old and a minor.
