A Talk About Artistic Treasures of Umbria
Edmund Zimmerman will show slides and talk about the artistic treasures of Umbria at the monthly El Cerrito Art Association meeting March 9

Edmund Zimmerman will show slides and talk about the artistic treasures of Umbria at the monthly El Cerrito Art Association meeting at 7:00 pm on March 9 at the El Cerrito Community Center.
The title of his talk is “Central Italian Campanilisti: Culture Between the Bell Towers.” Campanilisti are people whose world view is centered on the ancient cities and villages in which they live - as far as they can see from their local bell towers. Edmund will show slides and talk about the artistic treasures found in some better known, but mostly lesser known, locations in Umbria, focusing on artists who visited Umbria and left their marks - and innovations - and on the home-grown artists of the Umbrian school.
The March 9 meeting will be held in the Garden Room of the El Cerrito Community Center, 7007 Moeser Lane, El Cerrito. The evening begins as 7:00 pm with social time and a “mini art show” of members’ work. A brief business meeting is held at 7:30, followed by the speaker.
