Maureen O'Brien, a docent from the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, talks about the work of J.M.W. Turner
The El Cerrito Art Association September 14 program features a presentation on Painting Set Free, selected works by J.M.W.Turner currently at the De Young Museum through September 20th. Maureen O’Brien, a docent from the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, will bring images and information on this major artist,well known for his “Turner’s Skies”.The show includes many watercolors as well as some of the well-known oil paintings for which Turner is famous.
The September 14 meeting will be held in the Garden Room of the El Cerrito Community Center, 7007 Moeser Lane, El Cerrito. The evening begins at 7 pm with social time and a “mini art show” of members’ work. A brief business meeting is held at 7:30, followed by the speaker.
