As in years past, "Taste" offers food, fun, marvelous music, and this year we are offering "Magic" as our featured entertainment. Nathaniel has a vast resume. That includes resident Magician for Playland-Not-at-the Beach, where he has preformed over 450 times; Second Place Winner of the Oakland Magic Circle Lloyd Jones Close-up; he is an official member of the Oakland Magic Circle and was the first person to ever perform in the new 600-seat theater at El Cerrito High School. Nathaniel's accomplishments and performances are impressive. One thing I've yet to mention is Magical Nathaniel is a gifted 17-year-old who attends El Cerrito High School.
Music throughout the festivities will be provided by Chaz & Co. Chaz delighted the Taste Of El Cerrito 2008 guests, and this year is promising no less. Chaz is a gifted musical artist, playing the tenor saxophone, flute, guitar, keyboards and drums, as well as performing vocals, with a wide range of musical styles for all ages. Entertaining throughout the world, he has worked with various cruise lines and resorts, and has entertained the troops including USO & MWR Army & military tours.
Opera is a part of the musical offerings as we will be delighted by the singing of Alexis Lane Jensen, a mezzo soprano. Alexis is a gifted talent and will provide a unique twist on the evening's program. As a member of the West Edge Opera Company, she has appeared in productions including "The Tender Land," and "Caliban Dreams.' San Francisco Cabaret Opera also has enjoyed her talent.
But wait! There is more! This year's "Taste of El Cerrito, A Magical Evening" offers a sumptuous selection of food. A varied selection of appetizers will be offered during the no-host cocktail hour, followed by an elegant dinner planned to please. A three-course dinner will be served by Cafe Soleil, which was voted Best of the Bay in 2010. Offering a choice of four entrees for our guests to satisfy, there is something for everyone!
Other entertainment and activities planned for the evening include raffles and a door prize. Read on.
Come join the fun, be amazed by headline entertainment, fabulous food and so much more.
