Fire at Point Isabel Puts Out Thick Smoke

RICHMOND, CA — A brush fire in the area of Point Isabel Regional Shoreline has been contained, according to the Richmond Fire Department.

At first, it was sending black smoke pouring into the sky. However the smoke quickly lessened as firefighters worked to put out the blaze, including helicopter water drops.

No evacuation orders were issued and no injuries have been reported.

Point Isabel is part of the East Bay Regional Park District.
