Do you specialize in bikes and acupuncture? It’s a bike shop with bike fitting and a wellness center for cyclists.

A holistic approach? Yes. And we sell some custom bikes and custom frames. I’m an acupuncturist, too. We do bicycle fitting: We position people correctly on the bikes. If somebody wants a new bike, I can fix it so that they get the right-size bike.

What led you to this? I wanted to combine my passion for bikes with what I studied.

You studied Eastern medicine? Yes.

Are you a cyclist as well? Yes – trying to combine the two things. We have a massage therapist, a yoga instructor and a pilates instructor. We do stuff specifically for cyclists.

More than just a bike shop? More than a bike shop.

What do you do for fun? When I’m not here? Cycling and family.

Are you local to El Cerrito, too? I live close by, but not in El Cerrito. It takes me six minutes to come here by bike.

Perfect! You ride your bike to work? Yes. But it takes longer to go up the hill (laughs).
