Time for a Baseball Parade in El Cerrito
One of El Cerrito's annual parades takes place Saturday, March 3, with the opening festivities for the El Cerrito Youth Baseball season. Celebration follows at Cerrito Vista Park.
One sign of approaching spring in El Cerrito is the annual El Cerrito Youth Baseball parade, a festive kick-off to the season.
This year's parade will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 3, at El Cerrito High School and proceed north along Ashbury Avenue to Moeser Lane, then hop right to Cerrito Vista Park for a community celebration.
The festivities include opening ceremonies, raffles, live music and – while supplies last – free ice cream. (See attached parade flyer.) Each player, coach and manager gets a free lunch ticket too (which includes hot dog, chips and soda), and others can buy tickets for $5 each.
