Two Suspects Arrested in August Homicide of Hercules Man

Richmond police tonight announced that they have arrested two suspects in an August homicide that claimed the life of a Hercules man. Carl Roy Roberts, 65, was shot and killed at South 35th Street and Ohio Avenue around 2 a.m. on Aug. 31, according to Richmond police. He was found lying on the curb suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
After two months of investigation, police obtained warrants for two suspects, 18-year-old Anthony Timmons and 33-year-old Antoine Saucer, both of Richmond, on suspicion of homicide with gang enhancements. Saucer was arrested Tuesday in Richmond, and Timmons on Thursday in San Diego with the help of local police, police said Friday.
