Volunteer for a Cancer Fighting Event

July 15-17: Pull an all-nighter for a good cause!

At Relay For Life of El Cerrito teams camp out overnight and take turns walking or running around a track at Cerrito Vista Park to raise funds for the fight against cancer. Event is 24 hours long, and because cancer never sleeps, each team is asked to have at least one participant on the track at all times. The event is an opportunity for communities to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that has already taken too much. Relay volunteers help with registration, logistics, participant support, asking for donation, and other unique opportunities. No matter how many hours you have available, we need your help! Relay For Life’s volunteer-driven model help make it the most successful fundraising event in the world. Even if you aren’t a night owl, there’s a place for you at a Relay For Life event. To learn about volunteer opportunities for the Relay For Life of El Cerrito, fill out the volunteer registration form and contact our Bring the Fun Lead Forrest McDonald at forrest.mcdonald@gmail.com.

Some volunteers may be required to do heavy lifting, driving, crafts, and/or talk to the public depending on the volunteer assignment. Volunteers under the age 18 need their parent or guardian to fill out the volunteer registration form before they can volunteer; volunteers under the age of 14 need their parent or guardian to volunteer with then. Only registered participants are able to be at the event between sunset and sunrise (volunteers under the age of 18 also need a parent, guardian, or chaperone with them). You can register online at www.RelayForLife.org/ElCerritoCa.

Volunteer registration forms are required for all volunteer who will be volunteering for the Relay For Life event, Bark for Life event, or need to turn any documentation confirming their volunteer time.
