"Walden Pond and the Ganges River: The Meeting of Waters & Minds" free lecture by Martin Verhoeven

Martin Verhoeven is Prof. of Buddhist Classics at Dharma Realm Buddhist University, as well as Adjunct Professor of Comparative Religion at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley. He was a Buddhist monk for 18 years, traveling and studying throughout Asia.

He recently chaired a team of scholars who completed a new translation of the Platform Sutra - a text considered by many to be the most direct introduction to the Buddha’s teachings available in English.
