Warriors' Brandon Rush Draws Fans to Plaza
Fans lined up out the door at the Lucky Supermarket in El Cerrito Plaza Tuesday afternoon for an autograph and chance to have their picture taken with Golden State Warriors basketball player Brandon Rush.
There were lots of smiles and picture-taking at the Lucky Supermarket in El Cerrito Plaza late Tuesday afternoon when Brandon Rush, a member of the Golden State Warriors, stopped by to sign autographs and pose for photos with eager fans.
The "Meet Brandon Rush!" appearance was scheduled between 5 and 6 p.m., with the first 200 fans promised autographs.
Rush, 26, joined the Warriors this season, his fourth as a pro. After a starring role with the University of Kansas Jayhawks, whom he led to the NCAA title as a junior, he began his NBA career with the Portland Trail Blazers before being traded to the Indiana Pacers.
