How long have you lived in El Cerrito? I've lived here since I was in sixth grade.

How do you like living here? I love it. It's El Cerrito – a nice place to live.

What do you like to do around town? I like to come to the El Cerrito Plaza. I play basketball – I like to play basketball at our school because they have a court over there.

Do you go to El Cerrito High? I go to Albany High, which is on the borderline.

Tell me more about basketball. How did you get into playing? I've been playing basketball since sixth grade. I got into it playing at the YMCA and I finally decided to play organized basketball, then fell in love with it. I'm actually going to USC (University of Southern California) next year for basketball.

Did you get a scholarship? Full-ride, I'm excited.

What do you play? I play center/forward.

Who are your heroes when it comes to basketball? I look up to Lisa Leslie and Kobe Bryant.

Do you have any other interests? I like to read sometimes. I like to play the guitar. I like working at because I like ice cream – it's weird, I really like working here. I like babysitting my younger siblings.

How many siblings do you have? I have five.

Are you the oldest? Yes.

What would be your advice to your siblings? Enjoy life, have fun, go after everything you can. Respect your parents.
