How long have you lived in the area? I’ve lived in that area for about 15 to 20 years.
What do you think of El Cerrito? I think it’s a very nice place, a good area. There’s not too much crime in El Cerrito. I like El Cerrito. I’ve lived here a long time.
Do you feel like you have a good sense of community here? Sure. Very nice people in El Cerrito.
Do you get to know a lot of people that come to this nightclub too? Quite a few local people I know. We try to survive, give them a nice place to come. A place that we don’t allow no fights. We want it where a man can come, bring his wife and feel comfortable. We’ve got a nice fireplace, we have a nice place here for people to come.
What’s your favorite drink? My favorite drink, if I drink, is a little champagne every now and then. That’s about it.
Do you have any interesting story to share about working here? Well, since I’ve been working here I enjoy it. The owner is very nice. He makes sure everything is clean. He’s kind of a clean freak. He wants everyone to be nice. We like everyone to enjoy. Be nice. Respect each other.
What do you do for fun? I like tennis, I like golf and football. We have all of those here. It’s a sports bar, and we built this for the neighborhood to come in and enjoy themselves.
