The 1850 Elk Grove House and Stage Stop Museum is open for free tours the first Saturday of each month from Noon to 4:00 PM. The special exhibit for 2014 is "The Railroad in Elk Grove" with artifacts from the old train station built in 1892 and torn down in 1972. Also on display are items from the Pacific Coast Chapter of the Railway and Locomotive Historical Society where members will be on hand to answer questions.
