An 18-year-old who was shot in an Elk Grove park Friday isn't cooperating with the investigation into finding the person who shot him, police say.
A shooting was reported 4:45 p.m. Friday in Kunsting Park, near Franklin Boulevard and Whitelock Parkway. When police arrived, they couldn't find the shooting victim.
"A short time later, EGPD received a call from a local area hospital regarding (the victim), who had been transported in a private vehicle and was suffering from non life-threatening injuries," an Elk Grove Police Department crime log states.
Elk Grove Police spokesman Officer Chris Trim said as of a few days ago, the victim "was not cooperating with investigators."
As a result, there is virtually no suspect description and a motive for the shooting isn't known.
