Academic Performance Index (API)This is the first year that PaSCL has received an API Growth Score.  The growth of 44 points from 2010 is highly positive. SAEY has an API of 777.

Locally, it was held at the Sacramento Academy for Enterprising Youth (SAEY), a Horizon Charter Schools program located at 3161 Dwight Road in Elk Grove. SAEY provides approximately 134 K-12 students a "Hybrid" educational option in the Elk Grove and South Sacramento
areas.

The program falls under the state approved charter named Partnerships for Student-Centered Learning (PaSCL).  PaSCL opened its doors to 1,200 Site Based and
Independent Study students on August 19, 2010.
PaSCL is chartered through Western Placer Unified School District.  PaSCL is WASC Accredited and meets the UC/California State University "a-g" subject requirements for University admissions.  PaSCL is an independent local education agency.

The majority of students served by PaSCL were previously
enrolled in Horizon Charter School (HCS) which was chartered in 1993. PaSCL’s programs are a direct outcome of the Schoolwide Action Plan developed in 2005
for the HCS WASC/CDE Self-Study Report. In the 2005 Action Plan, staff determined in order to improve student academic achievement it was necessary to expand college preparatory and intervention class offerings.
