The February issue of Aquatics International magazine featured a special report called “Power 25” which honors 25 standout leaders in the industry. Cosumnes CSD’s Tom Hellmann, Recreation Supervisor I, made the list of professionals to be recognized for his contributions and ongoing commitment to the aquatic industry.
Tom has been involved in aquatics for most of his life and while he is not supervising Cosumnes CSD’s Aquatic Section, he is busy being President of the California Park and Recreation Society’s (CPRS) Aquatic Section. He strives to provide the proper training to Cosumnes CSD lifeguards and other aquatic professionals in the industry. Tom is also dedicated to researching ways to stay a step above the standards with continued education and trainings for himself as well as staff. The CPRS District II J.R. Needy Professional Award was presented to Tom last year for his outstanding contributions in the field of Parks and Recreation.
This year the Aquatics International’s “Power 25” decided to not only honor those who have made many accomplishments, but also those who have great futures ahead of them as extraordinary leaders. Tom is committed to the industry and will continue to be for many years to come as a mentor and a leader in aquatics. Congratulations to Tom on this much deserved recognition!
