CRC SIFE Club heads to National Competition

The Cosumnes River College (CRC) Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) Club will compete at the SIFE USA National Exposition next month after earning the title of Regional Champion at the SIFE Regional Competition in Hollywood earlier this month.

At the regional competition, the CRC SIFE Team of six students presented several of the campus- and community-based projects which the CRC SIFE Club conducted during the 2011/2012 academic year, including the highly successful Extreme Entrepreneurship Forum, the Disability Awareness Week, the Walmart/iGirl Women’s Empowerment Forum, and the HSBC “Steps to Success” Seminars for small business.

The team will now be heading to Kansas City, Missouri in late May for the national competition. A distinguished panel of top executives will review the presentations of all the teams represented and ultimately choose the SIFE USA National Champion. This team will then represent the United States at the SIFE World Cup where they compete against the national champion teams from approximately 39 other countries.
