League of Women Voters Essay Contest -- "Why Voting is Important?"

The Elk Grove Unit of the League of
Women Voters is sponsoring an Essay Contest on the topic “Why is Voting
Important?” for the high school students living in the Elk Grove Unified School
District.

1^st place - $100

2^nd place - $50

3^rd place - $25

Rules

• 
  The Essay must be
  an original work of 500 words or less.
• 
  Entrants must be
  high school students living in the Elk Grove Unified School District.
• 
  Submissions may
  be made electronically (E-mail preferred) to elkgrovelwv@yahoo.com or by mail to Elk
  Grove LWV Contest, 8622 Shasta Lily Drive, Elk Grove CA 95624-3436.
• 
  Submissions should
  include entrant’s name, school, and contact information.
