At-Risk Resident Last Seen in Nevada City

The Elk Grove Police Department is asking for help in locating a 29-year-old Elk Grove resident who was last seen in Nevada City last month.

Sylvia Valdez is considered at-risk "due to the fact that she has been diagnosed as schizophrenic and is not in possession of her medication," the Elk Grove Police Department said in a press release.

Valdez called her mother in early June and said she was planning to return to Elk Grove by bus, and hasn't yet arrived, the press release states.

"Sylvia Valdez is described as a Hispanic female adult, 5’6”, 180 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes," the department said. "At this time, there is no information available regarding the clothing Valdez was wearing."
