Homestay Students from France in Elk Grove this Summer!

Wow. What a summer. After a month hosting Spain, we moved on to a month hosting France! Elk Grove and the Sacto Region hosted French students from mid July through the end of August. Some of you must have seen us?!

Our student was a gem. He fit into our family so well that when he left we were all surprised at how much we missed him. We cannot wait to go to Marseille next summer!

I didn't write my blog as I intended to. I didn't have time to. It was a whirlwind few weeks. I will try to give you the birds eye view in pictures.

If you didn't join us this summer, please think about it for your next summer because it costs less than traveling somewhere else and gives you and your family so many benefits!

I can't even post the many pictures and videos there are so many. The kids went to some American parties - they loved them; they went paintballing in Vacaville - they loved it but said it was very painful; they shopped til they dropped at the Folsom Outlets and the Arden Mall; they saw Batman in EG - which they liked but will see again in France so they can understand it :-0 We at so many restuarants that Yoann broke out in pimples from all the rich food. Leatherby's, McDonalds, BJ's; IHOP (he loved the crepes and the French Toast). He loved the BBQ and the African Food - thanks Wolo Family.

Things that stood out? How big and wide open it is here; how big our cars are; how big our plates of food and beverages are; how big we as people are :-) How many fun things to do there are and on and on. He said it was the best time he'd had in his life. That says alot.

It was a great time for us as well. We have good memories and that great video of him dancing to Remember the Time by Michael Jackson and doing the Moon Walk, and of course we talk to his family and to him weekly on Skype.
