Laguna West family adopts Kritter Kamp Rescue for Christmas

Generous Gift Makes Rainy Days Nicer For Shelter Dogs

Many people try to step up their charitable contributions at Christmastime, but may not think to include homeless animals living in pounds, shelters, or rescue facilities.

Laguna West residents Shari and Gary Fedler and their three daughters typically adopt a needy family for the holidays, fulfilling their requests for gifts and food items. This year, Shari & her girls had the bright idea to adopt Kritter Kamp Rescue, a local, privately run, small dog rescue where her family had previously both adopted and volunteered.

The Fedlers fulfilled a wish for a load of pea gravel, which was needed for the main play area that often became too muddy to allow doggy access under rainy conditions. Shari and her all-girl crew purchased and distributed the gravel last weekend, shoveling, hauling and raking it into place.
