New photo blog: Freeze Frame

When my family moved to Elk Grove 22 years ago, the sign said POP: 32,000. As you can see from this picture, the city has grown a little bit.

Editor's note: Local photographer Margot Lizardo has shared a few slideshows on Elk Grove Patch already. This week, she starts a regular blog where she'll post interesting scenes she's shot around town. Here, she introduces the blog and her first photo. Enjoy!

I was not sure what picture I wanted to start my Freeze Frame blog with. I chose this picture because it pretty much tells the story of the pictures I will be sharing with you during the coming weeks and months.  When my family moved to Elk Grove 22 years ago, the sign showing the population of Elk Grove said POP: 32,000. As you can see from this picture, the city has grown a little bit. Population is just over 153,000 today.  My wish is that you enjoy my Freeze Frame moments as much I will enjoy the search for memories.
