It's going to be a busy weekend in Elk Grove, and .
Old Town will be filled with the smell of beans, ground beef and spices as the Old Town Elk Grove Chili Festival is held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.
The festival includes a cookoff with more than 30 different recipies anticipated, as well as vendors and a beer and wine area. It will be held on Elk Grove Boulevard, between 2nd Avenue and Derr Street.

The following day, local history buffs will have the chance to see the historic Mosher Ranch home at a picnic-style event.
