2014 Citizens Academy Class!
Tuesday, April 8, 2014 and runs
every Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for 10 weeks, ending Tuesday,
June 10, 2014 at the Sacramento Police Headquarters (5770 Freeport Blvd.).

In
partnership with the Sacramento Police Department and Sacramento Sheriff’s
Department, DA Scully brought this program to the community to provide an
overview of the criminal justice system (law enforcement roles,
responsibilities, and challenges) and to engage citizens from all backgrounds
in discussion, participation and mutual learning about issues within the
criminal justice system.

During
the program, you will: meet your public safety leaders, officials, officers and
experts; learn about racial profiling, gang and hate crimes, in-car cameras,
internal affairs, and the criminal justice system from the prospective of law
enforcement, prosecutors, defense attorneys, judges and probation officers;
lunch with judges, tour the county jail and communication center and see canine
and a Taser demonstration!
THERE IS NO COST TO PARTICIPANTS.
