Elk Grove Fire Fully Contained Tuesday Afternoon
Inspectors believe it was possibly started by electrical wires.
Fire investigators believe the cause of today’s fast spreading grass fire in Elk Grove to be arching electrical wires due to the wind, according to the Cosumnes CSD Fire Department.
All evacuations are now lifted on residences surrounding the blaze at Bond and Waterman roads that broke around 1:40 p.m. and burned an estimated 25 acres, according to the department and news reports.
At least one home and several fences were damaged.
